Early Careers
Building on the Foundations
ACF develops Early Careers programs for analysts, associates and other early-career professionals across banking and financial services.
Onboarding establishes the core knowledge and skills new hires need at the start of their careers. Early Careers development builds on those foundations as responsibilities increase, roles become more demanding and greater technical depth is required.
ACF works with financial institutions to develop structured programs that help participants deepen their expertise, broaden their understanding of finance and continue developing the practical capability required in their roles.
Programs can extend over several years, with the content and level of challenge evolving as participants progress through different stages of their careers.

Development That Progresses with the Role
Early-career professionals do not need the same training year after year.
As experience grows, programs can move from strengthening core financial knowledge into more advanced products, markets, transactions and increasingly complex financial situations.
Development can be structured around the requirements of a particular role or business area, enabling participants to build progressively on what they already know rather than repeatedly returning to the foundations.
Deepening Technical and Digital Capability
Financial roles continue to evolve, and technical development increasingly extends beyond traditional finance.
Alongside advanced financial topics, ACF programs can incorporate data science, Python and other programming languages, and AI for Finance, where these are relevant to the role.
The objective is to develop the capabilities participants increasingly need to analyse information, work more effectively and understand how technology is changing financial markets and institutions.

Applied Throughout
ACF’s active and highly practical approach remains central throughout Early Careers development.
Exercises, modelling, cases, scenarios, projects and simulations can be used to help participants apply what they are learning, connect knowledge across different areas and work through increasingly realistic situations.
As participants become more experienced, the complexity of the challenge can increase with them.
Continued Learning and Reinforcement
Development does not need to stop when the formal program ends.
ACF can provide digital learning and reinforcement between instructor-led programs, helping participants refresh important concepts, strengthen particular areas and continue developing as their responsibilities change.
Adaptive digital learning can provide more focused support, while structured online content gives participants access to relevant learning when they need it. Digital learning supports the development process rather than replacing expert instruction.

Assessment and Evidence of Development
Assessment and performance reporting can provide a clearer view of how individuals and cohorts are developing over time.
ACF can analyse assessment results, knowledge retention, practical application and simulation performance to identify strengths, development needs and patterns across a cohort.
This gives Early Careers and L&D teams meaningful evidence of progress beyond attendance and course completion and helps inform subsequent development priorities.
